Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli/Salmonella spp. Nucleic Acid (DNA) Detection Kit

Escherichia coli (or simply E. coli) is one of the many groups of bacteria that normally live in the intestines of healthy humans and most warm-blooded animals. However, there are hundreds of types or strains of E. coli bacteria. Different strains of E. coli have different characteristics. One E. coli strain that causes a severe intestinal infection in humans is known as enterohemorrhagic E. coli (EHEC), or referred to as Shiga Toxin-Producing Escherichia coli (STEC). It’s the most common strain to cause illness in people. It’s different from other E. coli because it produces a potent toxin called Shiga toxin. This toxin damages the lining of the intestinal wall, causing bloody diarrhea.

The kit can be used for qualitative detection of EHEC and Salmonella, used to help determine whether the physical object has been contaminated by EHEC or Salmonella, or both.

Features:
Automatically from sample to report ; High sensitivity and accurate result ;
Easy operation, Microfluidic design ; Close system, No contamination
Indications:
The kit can be used for qualitative detection of nucleic acids of Enterohemorhagic Escherichia coli. Indications include but are not limited to severe bloody diarrhea, non-bloody diarrhea, hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS).
Storage conditions and expiration date:
1. This product should be stored at 2-8 ℃ in the dark place and valid for 12 months. The product date and effective date can be found on the product label.
2. The temperature in the box must be maintained at 2 ~ 8 ℃ during transportation. Ice bags can be used. Dry ice cannot be used. The kit cannot be placed below 0 ℃.
Applicable instrument:
ATFAS Automatic Integrated Gene Detection System (AIGS).
Sample requirements:
1. Expanded culture medium.( Please note that excessive bacterial concentration in the culture medium may lead to a decrease in detection efficiency or even detection failure. Therefore, if the sample concentration is too high, please dilute the sample appropriately with physiological saline or sterilized water before use.)
2. Other liquid samples
